Gunmen on Sunday morning attacked worshippers at St. Philip’s Catholic Church, Ozubulu, near Nnewi, Anambra State killing at least eight.

Several worshippers with gunshot wounds were also receiving treatment at the hospital. Witnesses said they feared that up to 20 people may have died.

Governor Willie Obiano visited the victims and vowed not to rest until the perpetrators of Sunday’s killings were arrested and prosecuted.
