Fake Pastor Who Killed 1yr-Old Baby For Rituals Paraded With His Boxes Of Charms (Photos)

The Cross River State Police Command on Tuesday paraded a suspected fake pastor in the state. The suspect, who was paraded alongside six others, was said to have been arrested for allegedly killing a one year and six months old baby… The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Obo-Ekpenyog is the pastor of Royal God’s Commandment Ministry, Calabar. Parading the suspect, the spokesperson of the command, ASP Irene Ugbo, said that the suspect was arrested alongside six others on Aug. 24 by men of the command. Irene said that they were arrested when the parents of the deceased raised an alarm that their child had been abducted by some masked men who stormed their house. She said some operatives were immediately deployed to search the church and its environs, and that they found some incriminating items and arrested the pastor and six others. Strike: FG, ASUU meet today

ABUJA—THE Federal Government and the Academic Staff Union of Universities,  ASUU, will again meet today in a bid to resolve the ongoing strike embarked upon by the university teachers two weeks ago. Expected at the meeting called by the Minister of Labour and Employment, Senator Chris Ngige, are the Ministers of Education and Finance, Mallam Adamu Adamu and Mrs. Kemi Adeosun respectively,  Chairman, National Income Salaries and Wages Commission, Executive Secretary National Universities Commission and the President of the Nigerian Labour Congress, NLC, Comrade Ayuba Wabba. Three die in Owerri market’s protest

Three people were killed on Saturday in a protest by Owerri natives following the demolition of the Eke Onunwa market by the state government. But the Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Andrew Enwerem, could not confirm the casualty as he is out of the state. Market demolition stirs protest in Owerri The situation escalated when one of the protesters, a young man, was hit and killed by a stray bullet fired by security operatives deployed to maintain order in the melee which ensued after the demolition. Following the death of the protester, Owerri natives proceeded to set fire to the property belonging to some residents. This led to a fight between the residents and those protesters resulting in the death of two others. Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo state had issued an evacuation order to the traders advising them to relocate to a new site to make way for development at the market site.
