There was shock in india today as technicians who came to fix up a malfunctioning Automated teller machine(ATM) were suprised to what they found. According to bbc reports Notes worth more than 1.2m rupees (about 17million in nigerian currency) had been shredded in piecies and rats where named as the chief suspects. According to indian Police the rodents probably entered the machine through a hole for wiring. Pictures of the chewed cash at the State Bank of India branch in Tinsukia district have surfaced online. One of the photos even showed a dead rat lying on the reminant of the spoils. Police official Prakash Sonowal said that the machine had been malfunctioning for about 12 days. Technicians managed to recover about 1.7m rupees.
