A Sexagenarian, identified as Femi Faweya, was
Tuesday paraded by the Oyo State Police
Command for allegedly printing fake Nigerian
currency.
The 68-year-old man alongside his 42-year-old

Speaking before newsmen at the state Police
Command Headquarters, Eleyele, Ibadan, Faweya,
who claimed to be a former Grade 2 teacher, said
he ventured into printing fake currency because
he lost N200, 000 to fraudsters.
“I also needed money to take care of my three

“I have been printing N500 and N1, 000 notes
with the machine in order to recoup the money I
lost to fraudster.
“I live at Ijokodo in Ibadan here. I used to
photocopy the materials with a photocopy
machine.
“I was introduced into the business three years
ago by Bayo but he is late now. He duped me of
N200, 000 without doing anything for me.
“About two months ago, someone gave me a
printer for the business,” Faweye added.
The Commissioner of Police, Mr. Sam Adegbuyi,
who paraded the suspects said there would be no

It was gathered that the directive was given by the Director of the National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA), Dr. Faisal Shuaibu. This means that a state that was given 100,000 doses would have to stop vaccination once the doses hit 50,000 in order for those who have received their first jab to get their second. This became necessary due to a possible delay in the supply of the next batch of the AstraZeneca vaccines. The delay is caused by a surge in the demand by the European Union and a new policy by India which manufactures the vaccine. India had said last week that it would prioritise domestic vaccination for its over 1.2 billion citizens. Speaking to  The PUNCH , the Minister of State for Health, Dr Olorunnimbe Mamora, confirmed the new directive to ...
