Ikeji arochukwu(new yam festival) to climax tomorrow

Activities marking this year’s Ikeji Aro have since commenced in Arochukwu. The celebration will climax on Eke traditional market day, which is tomorrow  in the ancient town of Arochukwu, Abia State, with cultural displays. Arochukwu is the cradle of Igbo civilisation. The theme of this year’s festival is “Ikeji Arochukwu: Nigeria’s Home of Tourism”. In the ancient days, Arochukwu was the abode of the supreme God – Chukwu. Because people always needed answers from Chukwu, Arochukwu became a pilgrimage centre, bringing spiritual succor to the patrons. With that kind of responsibility, every Aro man came to be regarded as a priest of the Chukwu, and they travelled far and wide bringing pilgrims to the City of God, for indeed that is what the word ‘Arochukwu’ means. OMG young girl ihuoma Chidinma caught with fresh human head in IMO state (photos)

A young girl from Mgbirichi, Imo state,  identified as Iheoma Chidinma has been caught with a human head. According to information we got from the video of her been interrogated by the military men, she revealed she was taking the head inside a bush to bury it. She also claimed her friend was the one who cut off the head, and said she has killed two people so far.

The results showed that 745,053 candidates that sat for the examination recorded credit and above passes in English and Mathematics, while 947,850 candidates passed with credits and above in five subjects irrespective of English and Mathematics.

NEWS Soldiers order IPOB members to swim in Mud, one shot dead [VIDEO]

A video made available to PoliticsNGR shows Nigerian soldiers ordering some captured members of the Indigenous people of Biafra(IPOB) to swim in a puddle of Mud. One of the IPOB members is seen lying on the ground motionless.He reportedly died from gunshot wounds. This footage was taken on Aba-Umuahia expressway on Tuesday.

FG Is Responsible For Continuation Of Strike - ASUU

The Academic Staff Union of Universities accused the Federal Government of being responsible for the continuation of its strike action This came from the ASUU Chairman, University of Ibadan, Dr. Deji Omole According to him, the union would not shy away from embracing purposeful dialogue with the authorities.. .... .... “ASUU has never run away from negotiation.
