Sunday is the golden clasp that binds together the volume of the week  I am not a Sunday morning inside four walls with clean blood and organized drawers. The Lagos Neighborhood Safety Corps (LNSC) arrested some set of cult members while having their meeting around 2:00am today at Eputu Axis, Ibeju-Lekki Local Government in Lagos. According to the Corps boss, Mr Lateef S. O. , he said they have been a threat to the lives of the people in the Community of Ibeju-Lekki at large. “Their colleagues in this act will also be apprehended at their due time”. The Executive Chairman Ibeju-Lekki, Hon. Dr. Kemi Surakat, who is the Chief Security Personnel of the Local Government, was invited to see before taking them to the LNSC Headquarter at Lagos. He said “This administration is for zero tolerance to insecurity and therefore all hands must be on desk to ensure security of lives, properties and total peace in Ibeju-Lekki Local Government”.

Junk food In the advisory, the Minister of Health, Prof. Isaac Adewole  warned Nigerians to beware of listeriosis-food  poisoning caused by eating  food items such as meat, dairy products,  fruits and vegetables contaminated by the microorganism Listeria monocystogene. “The Nigerian public are advised to wash their fruits and vegetables properly , and ensure meats are well cooked before consumption,” the notice stated. Adewole called for increased vigilance at the points of entry into the country by the relevant officials while directing the National Agency for Food and Drugs Administration and Control, NAFDAC, to increase their surveillance and monitoring of food items to ensure compliance with safety guidelines. Some operatives of the Nigerian Customs Service on Wednesday shot a man to death in the Oko-Oba area of Lagos State. The officials had reportedly chased a yellow commercial bus, popularly called Danfo, to the spot and opened fire on it. It was learnt that the yet-to-be-identified victim was on the bus suspected to be carrying smuggled bags of rice. The officials were said to have fled the scene after shooting the man in the head. Dr. Sukurat Okesina, a Consultant obstetrician and Gynecologist at Sobi Specialist Hospital, Ilorin, has advised women to avoid prolonged labour beyond 12 hours to prevent complication that may cause Vesico Vaginal Fistula (VVF). Okesina, who told newsmen in an interview on Saturday gave the advice on Saturday, urged women to seek medical attention for safe delivery. She noted that at the global level Sub-saharan African countries have the highest prevalence of fistula cases. According to her, about 150,000 victims get repaired every year in these countries. The medical expert explained that fistula is the abnormal hole between the anus and the vagina, which causes leakage of urine, feaces or both. She noted that severely obstructed labour with a pelvic fistula is associated with significant fetal and maternal morbidity and mortality.
