The West African Examination Council (WAEC) has dosclosed that it will release the results of the May/June 2017 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) results by next week Wednesday. This was disclosed in a tweet by the council via its Twitter account @waecnigeria. The tweet reads: “The results of the WASSCE for School Candidates, 2017 will be released by the Council, on or before Wednesday next week.” It will be recalled that the Head of National Office (HNO), WAEC in Nigeria, Mr Olu Adenipekun, said in May that the waiting days for results to be released will now be 60 days as against 90 days

It was gathered that one of the cult groups in the area, Deygbam, had stormed the community last month, where a member of the Icelander group was killed. A source, who spoke to Vanguard on condition of anonymity, said cultists suspected to be members of Icelanders were in the community to avenge their colleague’s death, leading to the killing of the number of persons. The source stated that the suspected cultists went from house to house, killing their targets, adding that most of the victims were members of the opposing cult gang in the area.
